Juvenescent

Juvenescent : reaching the age of youthJuvenescent is a short narrative work about two people who discover a way to return to their childhood. The effect of this transformation seems innocent early on but as time begins to glitch and travel in unexpected ways the two characters learn that time is more complex than they had predicted. The style of the work combines high tech and low tech, and is accompanied by a musical soundtrack. My video works are abstracted portraits/personal stories of the actors and actresses involved. Through video I can communicate stories that exist below the surface of relationships. These personal stories reverse into mementos that function like photographs, or short snapshots of the psychological, emotional, and physical memory of friends. The narratives are created as they are filmed, allowing for chance and improvisation.
