 A special showing of original Northern California landscapes, seascapes and some still life paintings in oils and gouache by Frank Wilson ~ the "Painter Of Dreams" ™A full time professional artist since 1971, Frank Wilson is a member of the “International Guild Of Realism“. By invitation, his work was exhibited twice at the New York State Museum in Albany NY. His work has been published as limited edition prints in Canada. On October 9, 1998 he was a featured artist on ABC’s “Good Morning America” show. On January 23, 2009 he was a featured artist on KSHL’s CBS Action News. His paintings are in private and corporate art collections in dozens of countries on four continents and his work has been featured in three art galleries in Switzerland as well as Fine Art Galleries throughout the USA. Frank has won many awards for his paintings, most recently, in February 2010, First Place in the Turner Color Works International Competition.

"Rice Fields and Orchards" Avenue 9 Gallery & Art Guild is presenting a special exhibition of works by artist Dolores Mitchell.This exhibit of local agricultural landscapes runs from February 10th to March 20th  

October 10 and 11 from l0 am to 5 pm, Avenue 9 Gallery Art Guild Members will be holding "Open Studio" (a Chico Art Center sponsored event). Artists will be available to chat with the public; some will do demonstrations.

 There will be a beautiful assortment of affordable art in many disciplines and media from which to choose pieces for your home or office!

On October 3, simultaneous to the Janet Turner Print Museum Benefit Sale, Avenue 9 will mount a ChiVAA “Paris in Chico Sidewalk Sale.”

ChiVAA, Chico’s new Visual Arts Alliance, is dedicated to promoting the visual arts within Chico and beyond. Its first major act was to publish an art map that is now being distributed at galleries, hotels, restaurants, etc. Avenue 9 Art Guild members will be displaying art at reasonable prices.
