Disconnected: meet Steve McClain.

I got to meet up with artist Steve McClain and catch his first solo show Disconnected mere moments before it came down from the Naked Lounge walls.

“I'm an artist and I'm ready to get down.” Steve McClain.

Background: Steve grew up in the East Bay, moved to central California, then to San Louis Obispo, and now resides in Chico with his girlfriend, cat (Mocha), and hamster (dongo)

Medium: acrylic paint, oil paint, ink, and newsprint on wood and canvas.

Influences: Alphonse Mucha, Katsushika Hokusai, Jeff Soto, and David Choong Lee.

Future art plans: A group show called “lost and found” where artist find discarded materials and transform them into art.
