first sarurday art march

This first Saturday art walk I marched all over town for many hours, jaywalked, ignored red lights, and photographed fine-art.

Being a photographer myself means that I am predisposed to prefer photographs, so my first stop was The 1078 Gallery for Andy Bloxham's "Beta Fictions."

Then I snuck next door, un-holstered my camera, and opened fire on All Fired Up's newest works.

Then I hitch-hiked into the heart of downtown Chico to the grand opening of BOHO; your new favorite clothing store.  it's next door to Naked Lounge.  New works by Dean Hernandez looked down on me from the east wall.

Then to Naked Lounge for paintings by Lisa Cooper.

Then I tip-toed to the Secret Gallery (222 w 2nd st) and peered through the "window of society" through the eyes of Micah Black.

Then I rode a bicycle built for two to the train tracks.  The Chico Art Center has a huge show featuring students in the Chico Unified School District.

Then I took a taxi to Empire Coffee.  Nick Lee has his love splattered between the windows.

Cafe flo.  Rudy Giscombe.  Jazz trio.

The end.
