First Saturday Art Walk 5-03-08

It's only been a month since the last art walk, but the quantity and quality were worlds apart.

I rode my pogo stick to the brand new and much anticipated gallery in the Chico News and Review office building called “The Space.” The space debuted with Matt Goulart's “American Peak.”

Then I cart wheeled to Empire Coffee to see Melanie's new drawings and listen to Serra Sewitch and Benny play some jams.

Some Doodling.

Serra and Ben compliment each other so beautifully in every way conceivable; CUTE.

Then swam back to The Space to catch Pat hull and Michael Lee sing and play guitar.

Skipped down the street to the Naked Lounge to check out Zeke's maps and digital photos. On the way I snapped some pictures of some lovely yellow flowers and some friendly mentally handicapped boys.

Teleported to the 1078 Gallery for the fifty dollar yard sale and silent auction collaborative art show.

Then crawled to the Crux to catch the last half of “Acoustic Night," which was phenomenal. No pictures, sorry.

I know every Saturday can't be thriving like this most recent one, but it's nice to know that it can and does happen.
