The 46 went out with a 3D bang and gave birth to a golden child of undeniable promise. The new space, located at 530 Broadway, is a hybrid gallery/working studio. We will be showing fantastic artists of both local and non-local prestige, hosting events of th...e intellectual vanguard, and creating the kind of mischief and mayhem that can only be expected from a tightly knit group of like-minded artists caught in the limbo that we call Chico . This is a living, breathing artist workshop. This is the scene that was inevitably going to be created. You can never be sure what you’re going to find, but you can be sure it will inspire you to do more. We are having an open house/meat your new gods/come see our new space garden party. On display will be new work, aged work, and works in progress. There will be a “name that gallery” contest with BIG prizes awarded to the winner. (Email your suggestions to nokings530@gmail.com)Light food and refreshments will be provided as well as mighty good conversation. Wayne Newton,our bearded whale, will also be on display. A special showing of original Northern California landscapes, seascapes and some still life paintings in oils and gouache by Frank Wilson ~ the "Painter Of Dreams" ™A full time professional artist since 1971, Frank Wilson is a member of the “International Guild Of Realism“. By invitation, his work was exhibited twice at the New York State Museum in Albany NY. His work has been published as limited edition prints in Canada. On October 9, 1998 he was a featured artist on ABC’s “Good Morning America” show. On January 23, 2009 he was a featured artist on KSHL’s CBS Action News. His paintings are in private and corporate art collections in dozens of countries on four continents and his work has been featured in three art galleries in Switzerland as well as Fine Art Galleries throughout the USA. Frank has won many awards for his paintings, most recently, in February 2010, First Place in the Turner Color Works International Competition.
